Phil-Pet has seen many changes in 2007. We are excited about what
will happen in 2008.
Our annual Meeting is set for February 23, 2008. We are going to
have it at the Sportsman Club, 1435 S. Barnes this year. We will
open the doors at 6:30 p.m. and eat around 7:00 p.m. We will have
dinner, the meeting, and play Bingo. We will also have some door
prizes, and $5.00 per member just for showing up.
We had a great National Credit Union Day. We had 42 members and
4 visitors come and celebrate with us. There was lots of eating,
visiting and laughing. Congratulations to our 4 winners - Janice A.,
Angie O., Nicholas R., and Shirley S. They recieved $25.00 each
for coming and playing with us. Hope to see more of you here next
year.
Remember to watch the newsletters for your account numbers. If you
find it, give us a call and we will put #5.00 into your savings
account. So far we have had one member find their number. Good Luck!
During this time of year, remember to get your free credit report.
You get 3 free ones a year. Phil-Pet uses Equifax for our credit
reports.

Phil-Pet will never call you on the phone and ask for your social
security number or driver's license. If someone calls and asks
for these numbers, hang the phone up and call us. We would never
need these numbers from you over the phone. Equifax sent us a
warning of new phishing attempts going around.

DISABILITY INSURANCE
Disability insurance is not required on any loan. It is an
insurance that you buy. The credit union adds the premium to
the original loan balance. We are responsible for paying the
premiums to CUNA. If your loan is refinanced or paid off early,
you receive credit for the unused premium. Usually the refund
is taken from your loan balance.
The disability insurance will make your payments on each loan
that you have the insurance on (up to $600.00 per laon monthly.
It does not matter how many loans that you have. It begins
paying after the 31st day of your disability. The first 30 days
you are off, the insurance will not pay. CUNA sends the checks
directly to Phil-Pet for your loan payments.
LIFE INSURANCE
The credit union buys life insurance on all loans in the amount
of $20,000.000. The life insurance stops at the age of 70 on all
loans. The $20,000.00 is all of the life insurance regardless of
your loan balance that Phil-Pet carries for loan protection.

Be sure and read your news letters each quarter for
something new and exciting that the credit union has
started doing. You will need to read your quarterly
newsletter and look for your account number. (Example- #0000)
If you find your number then call us at the office ((806)669-6044)
and tell us that you have found your account number in the
newsletter, and Phil-Pet will deposit $5 into your savings account!
